Working Shift Hours Is Not Easy for A Single Mom

by Helpless Single Mom

I work shift hours it isn't easy to adjust. There were times when I went back late at night, overslept and my daughter missed her school.

I don't want to leave my present job because it pays quite well and since my ex isn't helping at all, I need to keep this job. I pity both my kids because during my day off, I am too tired to do something together with them.

It isn't easy

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I'm in the same boat. The ex takes my daughter only on weekends, and I work a rotating schedule so some days I work the nights I have her. I feel incredibly guilty hiring someone to take care of her while I work then being exhausted during the day. And to top it all off, I too have been late getting her to school as well as late picking her up.
No extended family in the area makes it even more difficult.
