Sent British Consulate – an incident report

Dear Sir/Madam
My name is xxx, an Australian citizen live in Brisbane and work for xxx.

I am reporting an incident has been happening recently that associated with me and thought it might draw your attention and to inform your citizen if this person is existing.

I have been online dating (via Aussie Match Maker) with Edward Paul Withfield II has been living in Melbourne VIC since end of June this year (scheduled to have our first meeting this weekend 17 or 18 July when he comes back from Abu Dhabi) as he has gone to Abu Dhabi for his project. Email correspondences and phone calls have been the main communication between us since we met online.

The incident that I want to report is that he got robbed at the airport of Moscow – Russia as he was waiting for a taxi to take him to the hotel on Monday, 12 July 2010 (around about 9pm Moscow –Time) He contacted British embassy in Moscow according what he said. He took two days off from his project in Abu Dhabi to Moscow to meet ZAO ALROSA – they operate the Mirny Mines for his private business matters.

I have a suspicion about it when we discussed how to send my supporting money over (I didn’t send).

The main point to contact you is that I doubt someone using Edward name and his photos (see the attachments) as a bait (if Edward does existing - he is of dual citizenship both British & American) and cheating online. The person’s (Edward) voice on the phone doesn’t sound like either accent of British or American. I think the real Edward should be aware about this type of fraud.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM.
(This account is Mr Andrew Wright’s associate in London. Mr Wright is a British citizen owns a guest house near the Moscow airport. The money has to be sent in cash via western union money transfer).

Please find the attached Edward profile (advertised on the Aussie Matchmaker site and closed soon after contacted me).

Attached is also some background information of Edward.

Hope this report would be able to alert the others as well.

Have met this man bjut he was a gentleman. could not belive he uses this same story withj every womanm. Ifound him very nice and handsome,he actuaqlly chased after me for quite some timeand we agreed tol go for a drink.
Then his accent chsnged when he was in UJAE and England. Sounded NIgerian.. IK Believe it kis Identity Fraud.. He is a poor BVictim whose photos have been used by a scammed.
