Happy being Single
For a long time, I was unhappy being single, hence I met and dated the wrong men and ended up feeling very bad about myself. After reaching rock bottom, I decided to embrace being single and now I'm moving forward through self development and learning to love myself more (not in a narscissistic way but in a healthy positive way). I exercise, eat well, meditate and everyday I feel happier and happier. I'm learning to care less what people think of me and live my own life my own way. I read books on self development, building confidence and self esteem. I realise my own worth now and enjoy my own company. I have friends but when they're not available I'm my own friend. Embracing all these new positive behaviours, I've become a kinder, empathetic and more caring human being. I like the new me now, and whether I'll be single forever or meet someone in the future, I'll always retain my independence and never rely solely on anyone else to complete me; in effect I've become my own best friend and I like her. Being single and happy is an epiphany; I'd encourage anyone to try it.
