Being a single mom takes you away from your kids most of the weekdays. The time left to spend with them is during the weeknights and weekends. So whatever time you have with you your children is priceless. You'd probably try to allocate time and arrange for some family time and have some fun activities. But most activities are quite expensive. Even a night at the movies will affect your budget and you usually don't have much to spare.

The best thing to do is choose inexpensive outdoor fun activities for kids. What's important is to spend time together to create long lasting memories.

Here are inexpensive outdoor family fun activities that you can have with your kids. You can get some for free.

Another alternative is going to the parks with playground equipment. Children just love to it. They can also blow bubbles. Or you can go fishing. Your kids will feel so proud when they make a catch. Bring snacks or lunch from home and have a picnic. The other option is to go on a hiking trail for exercise and exploration.

Movies.

If there is a drive-in near your area, go for that because it is cheaper that watching a movie at the regular theater. And you can bring your own drinks and snacks. There is also the matinee that offers reduced prices. Some even have free kid-oriented movies on weekend days.

Concerts.

Going to the concert is pricey especially if a famous band is performing. Check your local paper for free concerts in the park.
