Carpet Cleaning Tips

There is an abundance of different carpet cleaning tips, and it looks like that there are plenty of websites that show and tell you how to clean carpet stains. There are also many concerns over the environment with the many modern cleaning solutions that use harsh chemicals, not just for carpets but for cleaning in general. These chemicals aren't biodegradable, can affect you, your family, and your pets and damage the planet.

So what kinds of carpet cleaning tips are there for natural cleaning products? How to clean carpet stains and odors without damaging the environment, or risking your family's health? Well, the answer is actually easier than you think. Whether you have carpet stains, or even odors from pets, there are many different things you can use that are around your house, are cheap to buy and don't have any harmful chemicals.

One of the most natural carpet cleaning tips is a solution of plain white vinegar, which most households have, or can be purchased at the grocery store for a few dollars a gallon. If you want to know how to clean carpet stains using this method, it's simple.

Take a spray bottle and add two parts water and one part vinegar. Spray the stain or odor area liberally. Then use a coarse brush and scrub lightly for a few minutes. Use a cloth, and blot up the mixture. It may take out the stain so well that you will have to clean the rest of the carpet area just so the color will match.

Another method is a paste of baking soda and water. Mix into a paste, then apply to the area that needs cleaning. Again, using a brush, scrub the area liberally. Let it dry and vacuum up the baking soda. If the stain is fresh, then pour club soda directly on the stain, then press the area with a dry cloth, doing this as many times as needed.

Here's how to clean carpet stain for pet urine. Take one cup of vinegar, one and half cup of warm water and mix in a small open container like a bucket. Sponge the area, rubbing it into the urine area. Then just take a dry cloth and soak it up. When it's dry, spread some baking soda on the affected area, wait about 20 to 30 minutes and then vacuum it. Not only will doing this remove the odor and stain, but also kill germs.

There are also a variety of different natural cleaning products available, some of them you can buy in stores, others you can purchase online. If you require more carpet cleaning tips, search the internet. You'll find several ideas and some offer step-by-step instructions on how to clean carpet stains, remove odors, and generally make your carpets smell much better.
